Children are our most vulnerable citizens. More than any other group they need our love, our interest, our sympathy, and our protection. They also need us to create mutual respect between themselves and us. Out of mutual respect grows the healthiest kind of discipline. Raising children is the most difficult job in the world, requiring a balance of love and respectful-limit setting that rarely comes easily to parents and caretakers. Being parents confronts us with our own personal problems, many of which stem from difficulties in our own childhoods that is difficult for us to bear and face. Our preference for the company of adults, our preoccupations with adult concerns, our confusion over how to parent, mismatches of temperament between ourselves and our children, our impatience or tiredness — all of these compound to make parenting and teaching children somewhat difficult. Raising children is probably the easiest job in the world to botch, not only because it is so difficult, but also because there’s almost no one to hold us accountable. As parents we may at times feel baffled and impotent or even completely helpless; nonetheless, we exercise a degree of power and authority in the home that is unparalleled in the remainder of our lives. We are coerced into injecting toxic immunizations into their little bodies, and give them powerful antibiotic and other drugs. Surveys show that 87% of 11 to 16-year-olds own cell phones and 40% of them spend hours each day talking on them. Children are 30% of our present – but, they are 100% of our future!!!
So, what is the solution? PREVENTION and NUTRITION are the keys to stopping the number of sick days, missed school and work, and building the immune system into a highly functional mechanism that will STOP illnesses and diseases before they have a chance to invade and tear down the intricate biological network within the body. There are four basic areas of consideration when designing an effective Children’s Health and Wellness program: Nutrition, Pure Water, Purified Air, and EMF Reduction. Click Here for Information on these subjects. We reward our kids with sugary sweets, which cause hyperactivity. We are not taught how to feed our kids properly, to avoid malnutrition and biochemical imbalances in their brains and bodies. To avoid the tooth decay which leaves them victims of the dental industry, with toxic mercury amalgam fillings, and other metals that create a galvanic effect in the mouth. This increased electricity is applied to the brain through the nervous system. This condition creates hyperactivity in the mind and body, and, in extreme conditions, can cause seizure activity. Mercury vapor in the mouth and sinuses easily migrates into the brain and pineal/pituitary/hypothalamus tissues, endocrine-system-controlling glands, causing endocrine imbalances resulting in loss of control over the thyroid and adrenals and gonads with myriad physiological and psychological results. Add to this, the results of using a cell phone at 2.4 gigahertz frequency. This is the same frequency range as used in microwave ovens! The magnetite (magnetic iron) in the pineal gland and brain is oscillating at 2400 million cps. We can easily lose our temper with our kids because of this increased intense activity. We never could lose our temper at the boss, or even at our employees, and get away with it so easily. We never could ignore the needs of our friends with such impunity. Nor, could we hit or spank anyone else with whom we came into conflict. The difficulty in raising children often is complicated by the stresses of our own adult lives. Most adults suffer from the same conditions that they developed in childhood themselves. Most have fillings, root canals filled, with crowns and caps on their teeth, and their diets are non-nutritive, and they are consuming fluoride and chlorine, etc. They suffer from the same brain fog and nervous system dysfunction that their kids experience, but with years of accumulation. They are holding cell phones next to their brains and endocrine-controlling glands. Many parents, especially single mothers, live in poverty; many families grow up amid racism; and all children and adults suffer from the effects of sexism and male supremacy. Many marriages are torn by conflicts that frighten and confuse the children. When our children finally start school, it is often to a more unsatisfactory situation than the one at home, within the family. Typically, children are forced to endure long, boring hours in regimented classrooms that give almost no attention to their personal needs or unique attributes. In some schools children are beaten and humiliated as a means of control. Child abuse and neglect are rampant. Instead of covering up this tragedy with diagnoses, drugs, and hospitals, psychiatry should be leading the society toward a more sympathetic understanding of the plight of children. The schools virtually have given up on educational reform. Children who cannot or will not fit the mold are sent off to mental health professionals, frequently to receive stupefying and addictive medication. Parents similarly forsake their responsibility for raising their own children by handing them over to schools and mental health specialists, not only injuring their own children, but depriving themselves of the satisfaction of being good parents. The children are stigmatized and carry within themselves feelings of guilt and shame over problems that are almost wholly beyond their control. Instead of finding better family, educational, and social solutions, modern psychiatry pushes us in the direction of blaming the victim and exonerating the adult authorities. It’s the easiest way out for all of the adults, including the child abuser; but it’s a disaster for the child. We need a drastic turnabout in which we, as caring adults, retake responsibility for our children. Freeing ourselves from biopsychiatric mythology can become the single most important step in that direction. By the age of two, American children have received 237 micrograms of mercury through vaccines alone – which exceeds current EPA “safe” levels of 0.1 mcg/kg per day.
This abnormal introduction of pathogens and adjuvants into the blood stream does not "trick" the immune system: it contaminates it. And contaminate it we do. Children now receive 52 vaccines, in the form of 15 shots, by the time they are 6 months of age - if they receive all the recommended shots, including the Prevnar (the pediatric pneumonia shot.) That is because each viral or bacterial particle contained in the vaccine elicits an immune response. So, the measles, mumps and rubella vaccines are three separate vaccines. The injectable polio vaccine (IPV) contains three strains of polio, thus it is three vaccines. And this overwhelming amount of biological material does not include the adjuvants, which can include MSG, aluminum, formaldehyde, sucrose and phenoxyethanol, which is antifreeze, among many others. The potential for disaster looms as multiple live and attenuated viruses are combined during multiple vaccinations on the same day. In a study reported in Science magazine, two avirulent herpes viruses were simultaneously injected in the footpads of mice. Many (62%) of the mice that had received equal doses of each virus died - while none died that had received up to 100 times the diluted dose of just one virus. Eleven recombinant viruses were isolated from the dead mice. Three of these isolates were lethal when injected into the next set of mice. This study demonstrates that in vivo, two avirulent viruses can recombine with deadly results. If two vaccine antigens can cause a serious outcome when given simultaneously, then what about "123-126", or, 10,000?
The mercury in vaccines as thimerosal (ethyl mercury) is 50 times more toxic than plain old mercury (methylmercury) because:
Graphs of the U.S. and U.K. show skyrocketing incidence of autism just after MMR vaccines were introduced. Autism and mercury poisoning damage: the brain, nerve cells, immune system, gastrointestinal system, muscle control and speech. At the cellular level, thimerosal has been found to be more toxic for human epithelial cells in vitro than mercuric chloride, mercuric nitrate, and merbromim (mercurichrome). It was found to be 35.3 times more toxic for embryonic chick heart tissue than for staphylococcus areus. A 1950 study showed that thimerosal was no better than water in protecting mice from potential fatal streptococcal infection. Mercury toxicity has been studied for decades, and EPA safety levels have been set, but thimerosal in vaccines and dental amalgams – were never included in any of the toxicity studies! Methylmercury from seafood and the environment were highlighted, ignoring the two most toxic sources: vaccines and dental amalgams. The EPA has no jurisdiction over drugs – that is the FDA’s job, which is why vaccines and amalgams do not figure into the EPA’s equation of setting “safe” levels of mercury!
Today, children are constantly bombarded by advertisements of junk foods, food and drinks high in sugar/starch content – foods that only contribute to poor nutrition, obesity, lack of energy and stamina, hypertension, etc. However, we add to that the tremendous, deleterious effects of low-frequency radiation caused by cell phone usage. This problem alone has been proven to be associated with long-term health problems, especially for children. Common Conditions in Children

How Chiropractic Helps Newborns
Birth is a normal, natural process that's been around since the beginning of humanity. As with any other task the body was created to perform, when you support normal functioning, you have your best chance of success. The road down the birth canal and out into the world can be a trying one, particularly in the case of medical intervention and high-tech births. (A Journal of the American Medical Association study showed the U.S. ranked last for neonatal mortality, infant mortality and the health of newborns.) As a result, there have been ever-increasing occurrences of traumatic birth syndrome. Traumatic birth syndrome describes the presence of trauma-induced skull, spinal damage and spinal misalignment as a result of the birth process. Imagine going through it with a mother lying on her back, working against gravity, and on medications to increase the intensity of labor and numb the delivery muscles. Combine that with common surgical interventions, and the birthing process becomes exponentially more traumatic. And, when you think about it, it should be no surprise that vertebral subluxation (misalignment and/or damage of the spine) in infants is a common reality. During the pushing stage of labor, the spine may be injured as the fetus is compressed and pushed down the birth canal. The most frequent cause of subluxation in infants is the pulling, twisting and compression of the infant's spine during birth, leading to respiratory depression and other illness. If something alters the normal birth process, subluxations will frequently occur at the point of greatest stress (upper and lower cervical vertebrae). While in severe cases, these can result in more obvious, clinical nerve damage such as nerve palsies, more frequently subluxations remain subclinical, with health issues arising at a later time. Catching Them Early
These issues can range from colic, sleep disorders and symptoms of lowered immunity to poor development, etc. "Subluxations should be analyzed and corrected as soon as possible after birth to prevent these associated conditions," says pediatric expert Dr. Maxine McMullen. These subluxations have been found to be severe enough to lead to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) due to the pressure they cause upward toward the lower brain as well as creating numerous other disorders common to newborns, infants and young children. Reports show chiropractic care can be helpful in such diverse disorders as cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, ear infections, the prevention of SIDS and others. While chiropractic care is not a treatment for anything, the benefits of adjusting subluxation to remove interference has been particularly telling in the case of small children. The facts show that young people need chiropractic care as much as, or perhaps more than, anyone to maximize proper development and minimize the advent of common infant symptoms and disease. One of the most interesting studies — based on the examination and adjustment of 1,000 infants — was done by Dr. Gutmann, a German physician. He concluded blocked nerve impulses at the level of the first vertebrae can be a cause of central motor impairment and lower resistance to infections, especially those of the ear, nose and throat. One example of Dr. Gutmann's published case studies describes an 18-month-old boy with early relapsing tonsillitis, frequent enteritis, drug therapy resistive conjunctivitis, frequent colds and earaches and increasing sleeping problems. After the first specific adjustment, the child was put to bed and slept peacefully until morning. The conjunctivitis cleared up completely, and his previously disturbed appetite returned to normal. Dr. Gutmann's research showed that the 1,000 children treated had success, almost without exception, for a variety of ailments after spinal adjustments at the atlas. Symptoms to have responded favorably included the following:
Diapers
Every new baby occasions more than 5,000 diaper changes. Most of these diapers are disposable and end up buried in the local dump. In fact, 90 percent of American parents cover their children with plastic, non-breathable diapers that contain toxins. Approximately 18 billion of these — enough to stretch to the moon and back seven times — are thrown away each year. Up to 12 percent of the total trash in the United States can be attributed to disposable diapers. The various types of plastic in these diapers are not only toxic to the environment, but are possibly harmful to a baby’s skin. Some diapers contain sodium polyacrylate, a super absorbent gel, and polyethylene film, a flexible plastic. The Environmental Protection Agency has reported that exposure to these ingredients may lead to problems later in life with the central nervous system, kidneys, and liver — and they also spell trouble for local landfills where the diapers are likely to remain for up to 500 years. One disposable diaper can outlive your children’s great-great grandchildren. Toxic human feces can leak into local water supplies and cause viruses such as Hepatitis-A and Rota Virus. Alternatives
Parents who select reusable cloth diapers save $300 a year in diapering costs. Cloth diapers, which range in price from $17 to $27 for a set of six, can withstand 80 to 100 washings. (www.babybunz.com — www.ecobaby.com — www.mother-ease.com) After that, they can be recycled into household rags. If you still long for the ease and convenience of disposable diapers, or you’re more concerned about the water required to wash cotton diapers than the issue of toxicity, shop around. Some conscientious diaper companies have stopped using so much plastic and have replaced the absorbent gel with a blend of cotton, wood pulp, and other natural products. (www.tushies.com) Pressure-treated Wood
Harmful amounts of arsenic, which the Environmental Protection Agency has classified as a "known human carcinogen," have been found on pressure-treated wood for sale at Home Depot and Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse stores nationwide. Children and their families are at the greatest risk from treated wood, known as copper chromium arsenic (CCA) lumber, because it is common in playgrounds, picnic benches, and decks. It is found in 90 percent of all outdoor wooden structures in the United States. One out of every 500 children who regularly play on swing sets and decks made from arsenic-treated wood, or one child in an average size elementary school, will develop lung or bladder cancer late in life as a result of these exposures, according to a report by the Environmental Working Group and the Healthy Building Network. CCA, which is used to protect wood from rot and insects, contains 22 percent pure arsenic. According to the report, one twelve-foot length of pressure-treated wood contains about an ounce of arsenic—enough to kill 250 people. The report recommends that the EPA ban arsenic and calls on Home Depot and Lowe's to stop selling CCA-treated wood. The EPA is currently reviewing CCA and plans to release "a focused assessment" of the threat. The following steps are recommended to protect children and others from arsenic, chromium, and copper exposure.
Substance Abuse
Kids today are flooded with false information about drugs, faced with peer pressure and various media influences. The message kids receive today is that of the quick fix, less effort is better, and that one should not have to work hard for what they desire in life. This often leaves them with little ambition and a feeling that there is no game in life. Drugs can be used as a solution to boredom and the hopelessness they often feel. The risk taking and the effects of the drugs themselves make their life exciting again - for a short time! Advertising worldwide pounds them daily with messages to drink beer, smoke cigarettes, to solve any pain, discomfort, inability to sleep, or any emotional or physical problem with some medication instantly. They see drugs and alcohol being used all around them, but are being told that "they" shouldn't try drugs. In the United States, the average age a young person is exposed to street drugs being tried, or abuse of medical drugs, is 8 years old (the third grade). This could happen even earlier if the child has grown up in a family that abuses alcohol or medications on a regular basis. Helping children to reach a sane and self-determined understanding of the truths about alcohol and other drugs can save them and the world enormous future trouble. A full understanding of what drugs are really doing to a person and the long-term consequences, allow children to weigh their options and come to a rational decision about them. The key to this is providing them with the correct information, but also in such a way that it relates to their world and their experiences.
